Luxury Vinyl Flooring Options
While most of us love the look of organic hardwood, not everyone enjoys its hefty price tag or tedious upkeep. Vinyl plank flooring or vinyl tile flooring presents two appealing alternatives. Both beautiful and budget-friendly, vinyl flooring is made to fool the eye, while standing the test of time. It's also eco-friendly.
Vinyl Plank vs Vinyl Tile
With so many vinyl flooring choices available on today’s market, we know that narrowing down your choices can get overwhelming at times. Here are a few helpful points to remember:
Both tiles and planks can be installed as floating floors, and both may be installed either above or below grade. Both options are made to handle moisture, and are offered in a seemingly endless variety of colors, finishes, and textures.
Most importantly, both types of vinyl present durable and economical alternatives to natural hardwood. So what’s the difference between vinyl and plank? Truly, it’s a matter of aesthetics and personal preference.
Vinyl Plank vs Laminate
While both plank vinyl and laminate floors offer natural-appearing facades at affordable prices, that’s where many such similarities end. While plank vinyl flooring is water-resistant, laminate is not. Laminate is also tougher to install, and typically requires underlay. Lastly, laminate can be rather noisy underfoot- whereas vinyl planks create an insulated, softer underfoot.
